No. Our products are cruelty-free and are not tested on animals.

Our hyaluronic acid-based facial serums are fragrance-free. Please check the ingredients shown on each product page before purchasing if you have a known sensitivity or allergy.
Choosing a Serum
Which serum should I choose?
The right serum depends on your skincare goals:
- Hyaluronic acid: hydration and supporting softer, plumper-looking skin.
- Vitamin C: brightening dull-looking skin and supporting a more even-looking complexion.
- Niacinamide: supporting the skin barrier and helping improve the appearance of oiliness, redness and enlarged pores.
- Retinol: targeting the visible signs of ageing and uneven-looking skin texture.
- Salicylic acid: helping exfoliate inside the pores and improve the appearance of blackheads, congestion and oily skin.
Introduce one new active product at a time, especially if you have sensitive skin.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that attracts and retains water. When applied topically, it helps hydrate the skin and improve its soft, smooth and plump appearance.
What makes your hyaluronic acid serum different?
Our Hyaluronic Acid Serum has a simple, fragrance-free formula containing only three ingredients: Aqua, Hyaluronic Acid and Phenoxyethanol. It contains 1% high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid.
What is your Vitamin C Serum designed for?
Our Vitamin C Serum uses sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable vitamin C derivative. It is designed to support brighter-looking skin, a more even-looking complexion and antioxidant protection.
What is your Niacinamide Serum designed for?
Our Niacinamide Serum is designed to support the skin barrier while helping improve the appearance of redness, oiliness and visible pores.
What is your Retinol Serum designed for?
Our Retinol Serum is intended to improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven tone and skin texture. Retinol should be introduced gradually and is normally applied during an evening routine.
What is your Salicylic Acid Serum designed for?
Our 0.5% Salicylic Acid Serum with Hyaluronic Acid gently exfoliates and can help improve the appearance of blackheads, clogged pores, breakouts and oily skin.
Using Our Serums
How much serum should I apply?
A small amount is normally sufficient for the face and neck. Start with a thin, even layer and avoid applying more simply because you have purchased a larger bottle.
Should I perform a patch test?
Yes. Patch-test every new skincare product on a small area for 24–48 hours before applying it more widely. Stop using the product if persistent irritation occurs.
In what order should I apply my skincare?
A simple routine is:
- Cleanser
- Water-based serum
- Moisturiser
- Broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day
If you use several serums, apply lighter products first and avoid introducing several active ingredients simultaneously.
Can I use hyaluronic acid every day?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can generally be used every morning and evening. Applying it to slightly damp skin and following with a moisturiser can help seal in hydration.
Can I use vitamin C every day?
Many people use vitamin C daily, normally during their morning routine. If your skin is sensitive, begin a few times a week and increase use gradually.
How should I introduce retinol?
Begin by applying retinol once or twice a week in the evening. Increase the frequency gradually according to how your skin responds. Avoid the eye area, damaged skin and other sensitive areas unless the product instructions state otherwise.
Retinol can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or receiving treatment for a skin condition, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before using retinol.
How often should I use salicylic acid?
Start two or three times a week and adjust according to your skin’s response. Avoid combining it with several strong exfoliating products or retinol in the same routine when you are first starting.
Can I use more than one serum?
Yes, but introduce active ingredients gradually. Hyaluronic acid can usually be layered with vitamin C, niacinamide, retinol or salicylic acid because it primarily provides hydration.
If you experience dryness or irritation, simplify your routine and use active products on different days.
Do I still need a moisturiser?
A serum and a moisturiser perform different roles. Apply an appropriate moisturiser after your serum to help support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss.
Do I need sunscreen?
Yes. Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is especially important when using retinol or exfoliating acids. Follow the sunscreen manufacturer’s application and reapplication instructions.
Can your serums treat a medical skin condition?
Our serums are cosmetic products and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure a medical condition. Consult a pharmacist, GP or dermatologist if you have persistent acne, eczema, rosacea, an allergic reaction or another skin concern.
Sizes and Storage
Why do you sell 500ml serums?
Our 500ml sizes offer a lower cost per millilitre and are useful for regular users, salons and skincare professionals. They can also reduce the number of smaller bottles required.
Do you supply salons and skincare professionals?
Yes. We supply professional customers and offer larger volumes through the Hollyberry Cosmetics Wholesale website.
How should I store my serum?
Keep the container tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Avoid contaminating the product by touching the dispenser or bottle opening.
How long can I keep an opened serum?
Follow the period-after-opening symbol and storage instructions printed on the product packaging. Do not use a product if its smell, colour or texture has changed unexpectedly.

Is UK delivery free?
